Nori was "free". Her previous owners gave her to us with an envelope full of her official paperwork, and vet records, a large kennel, numerous toys and almost 40 pounds of dog food.
It hasn't been even three months, and that dog has cost me:
$68, visit to the vet for Bordatella
$92 visit to the emergency vet for poison ingestion
$110 updates on shots, ear infection treatment
$26, new collar, license
$175 boarding, during our trip to Ohio
$70 visit to the vet for bladder infection, antibiotics
and now this...
Practically brand new Franco Sarto boots.
So that's another $60 we can add to the cost of owning Nori. The only reason the boots were that affordable is because they were from my favorite store, Nordstrom Rack-and we don't pay sales tax in Minnesota on clothing. But these were size 10.5, which is nearly impossible to find, and they fit perfectly. They were the ideal heel height for wearing with my jeans-I mean precise-and were very comfortable in spite of the inches they added. Also? Never once in all the years I owned cats did I ever have a cat that chewed up a pair of shoes.
That's a grand total of $601. Would you forgive this face?
